Bocas Dive Center is a PADI 5-Star IDC academy based in Bocas Town on Isla Colon, Bocas del Toro, run alongside the Divers Paradise boutique hotel. It teaches the full PADI course range from Discover Scuba and Bubblemaker for kids through Open Water, Advanced, Rescue and specialty courses, plus professional-level training up to Divemaster and Instructor Development Course. Fun dives go out in small groups of up to six divers per guide on three purpose-built boats, with gear set-up, rinsing and storage handled by the staff between dives. Bocas del Toro's sheltered bay holds shipwrecks, pinnacles, caverns and swim-throughs reachable in a short boat ride, including the center's own Mayday wreck-and-reef site, with occasional trips further out to Tiger Rock, Dolphin Rock and the Bastimentos caves in September and October. The center is a 100% PADI AWARE facility and hosts a monthly Dive Against Debris clean-up dive.
