Blue Ocean House (Lanyu Blue Ocean House Diving Resort) is a PADI-affiliated dive resort on Orchid Island (Lanyu), Taitung County, run by a longtime local diver who built the resort after years of planning. Guest rooms range from a cozy double up to a loft-style eight-person ocean room, and the resort sits close to the beach with views over the coral reef where hawksbill and green turtles are regularly seen. The dive program includes a Discover/Experience Diving session for non-certified guests (5-10 m depth, full scuba equipment, one-on-one instructor and dive insurance included), an optional VIP experience-diving package with a dedicated underwater videographer and edited photos/video, plus PADI Open Water Diver, Advanced Open Water Diver, OWD refresher and Enriched Air (Nitrox) instruction. The resort also arranges Orchid Island island tours, traditional Tao tatala canoe experiences, night flying-fish fishing trips and excursions to the Lover's Cave, Dongqing sunrise viewpoint and Yeyin cold spring.
