Blue Ocean Divers has lived and dived in the Algarve since 1996, and has organized dive trips to the most beautiful diving areas of the Algarve coast since 1993, based at Luz Bay Club in Vila da Luz. The center offers introductory pool diving, diving courses, SSI Specialty Courses, and dives to grottos, wrecks and reefs, as well as kayak tours and repair of Bauer compressors. Guests can choose from around 20 different dive sites, including the grottos at Sagres and the artificially submerged wrecks in front of Portimao, with diving depths ranging from max. 12m for beginners or refreshers to a maximum depth of 30 meters. Atlantic water temperatures vary between 14 and 22C, so diving is done in 6mm neoprene wetsuits with a hood, booties and gloves. The center holds Portuguese Tourism Office Authorization 63/2011.
