BLUE LAGOON DIVE RESORT

About

Blue Lagoon Dive Resort is a French-run dive resort in Sabang, Puerto Galera, a Philippine biosphere reserve known for its coral gardens and rich macro life - mandarin fish, pygmy seahorses, ghost pipefish, mantis shrimp and nudibranchs in water around 28°C. Guests choose between bungalows, superior rooms, sea-view rooms or a family villa, with full-board French and international cuisine. The dive centre runs Aqualung and Apeks equipment, four compressors, a nitrox membrane and an oxygen booster, with a stock of about 190 aluminium tanks, and its boats reach sites within one to eight minutes, including Verde Island - a global biodiversity hotspot reached via a day trip with a BBQ lunch. Training is led by a French MF2 instructor who is also an SDI/TDI course director trainer, covering both the French CMAS/FFESSM ladder and the international SDI/PADI ladder, plus technical options such as sidemount, advanced nitrox and TDI decompression procedures. Night dives, guided dives with a local instructor, and airport transfers from Manila can also be arranged.
