Big Blu Mafia Island Dive Centre is a large, fully equipped PADI 5 Star Dive Resort on the beachfront in Utende, inside Mafia Island Marine Park in the South-East of Mafia Island, Tanzania, with uninterrupted views over Chole Bay. The center runs traditional dhows and a fibreglass boat, offers full PADI training from Discover Scuba Diving through Divemaster, and dives daily double-tank trips (occasionally a third or night dive) across an extensive network of sites inside and outside Chole Bay -- from shallow house reefs and muck-diving sandbanks to deeper walls and channels like the well-known Kinasi Pass. The resort has its own on-site accommodation, beach restaurant and bar, and is strongly involved in ocean conservation, running regular beach clean-ups and Project AWARE Dive Against Debris events alongside a daily Marine Park patrol boat.
