Big Blu Mafia Island Dive Centre is a PADI 5* Dive Resort situated in the Marine Park in Utende, in the south-east of Mafia Island, Tanzania, with a beachfront location overlooking Chole Bay. As Chole Bay is a designated Marine Park, visitors must pay a daily entrance fee at the Marine Park gates. The dive centre is fully equipped, with hire equipment mostly from Scubapro, and offers the full range of PADI courses including PADI eLearning. Dive trips run on several traditional wooden dhows plus a fibreglass boat for land-based excursion transport. The dive team includes a Dive Centre Manager, PADI Diving Instructors, PADI Divemasters, boat captains, boat hands and equipment hands.
