Awequatic Divers

About

Awequatic Divers is a small, locally-run PADI dive centre based in Bodumagu, Rasdhoo, in the Maldives' Rasdhoo Atoll — a natural sanctuary for juvenile fish recognised by the United Nations as an Ecologically and Biologically Significant Area, with its Madivaru Region (266 ha) protected as a Marine Protected Area since October 2018. The centre is led by Rasdhoo-native PADI Dive Instructor Ahmed Haris ('Harry') and a small local team. Rasdhoo Atoll offers around 20 dive sites across several dive types, including reef, channel, shark and manta ray dives, plus two wrecks (Reef Explorer and Kuramathi Queen, also dived at night). Signature dives include a North Channel manta cleaning station visited by mantas from November to April (with a strict no-touch policy), the Madivaru and Rasdhoo channel dives for sharks, rays and tuna, and wall dives along the atoll's outer reef. Awequatic also arranges multi-day dive travel packages combining accommodation and diving — 2 nights/2 dives, 4 nights/8 dives and 6 nights/12 dives, priced per person by season and group size — plus help with local travel and accommodation planning around Rasdhoo.
