About
The Arctic Circle is a year-round PADI dive centre and lodge on the White Sea coast in Karelia, part of the RuDIVE group of companies, and describes itself as the leading provider of marine ice diving in Europe. Alongside diving, the lodge offers Russian-style wooden guesthouses, full-board packages, Russian banya, a reindeer farm and sled-dog kennel, and seasonal programs including diving with seals and the Northern Lights. Underwater, visitors can expect soft corals, kelp forests, mussel farms, starfish and a wide variety of fish, with visibility from 10-20m in summer and up to 40m under the winter ice. The centre runs group and private diving, freediving, and PADI courses from Open Water through Ice Diver and Solo Diver (SDI), with mobile heated dive camps set up on the ice in winter.
