Archimede is a PADI 5 Star Dive Resort in Djerba, Tunisia, also affiliated with CMAS and AIDA, based right on Sidi Yati beach - chosen for its closeness to the island's best dive sites. Lead instructor Aziz, a fisherman's son who has been freediving since childhood, guides certified divers and first-timers alike across Djerba's Mediterranean sites: the wrecks Ricardo, Alga and Khorda, a sunken military tank field, and rocky reefs such as the Octopus Rocks, Grouper Rocks, Ras Taguermess and the Sidi Yati arches, home to sponges, nudibranchs, rays and grouper. The center runs the full PADI course ladder from Discover Scuba Diving and Junior Scuba Academy/Bubble Archimede for kids through Open Water, Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver and professional levels, plus PADI freediving courses (Basic, Freediver, Advanced, Master) and guided snorkeling excursions along the coast. All diving uses complete MARES equipment, PADI digital learning materials, and DAN insurance cover; night dives and multi-day wreck/reef packages are also offered. Archimede takes part in the Djerba Beach Clean Up and promotes responsible eco-tourism.
