About
Aquatours Almeria is a PADI dive center based in the Aguadulce Marina in Roquetas de Mar, Almeria, on Spain's Mediterranean coast. The team dives 17 local sites combining rocky reefs, seagrass meadows and sandy bottoms, home to a wide range of benthic and reef fish along cliffs and coves that are only reachable by boat. Active for 17 years, the center holds several conservation distinctions: PADI Eco Center status, Green Fins certification (one of only 8 centers in Spain), Spain's first Sentinel Biodiversity Observatory under the Observadores del Mar program, and a partner role in the Cousteau Divers REMORA monitoring project. The facility covers more than 120 square meters inside the Aguadulce Yacht Club, with a reception area, a classroom and library of 300+ books, wet and equipment storage zones, an air-fill station authorized by Spain's Ministry of Industry, and two changing rooms with hot-water showers. A 7.5-meter semi-rigid boat is moored a few meters from the door. As a Cressi Dive Center, Aquatours rents wetsuits from 2.5mm to 7mm in sizes from young children to XXXL. Courses follow the full PADI ladder from beginner to professional levels, plus in-house specialty courses such as Posidonia Diver and Marine Citizen Science. Beyond certified diving, the center runs guided snorkeling trips (Basic and Plus formats) along the Sierra de Gador cliffs, a Hookah Dive activity for ages 8 and up that blends snorkeling with surface-supplied air, and adapted diving for divers with disabilities.
