About
Alton's Dive Center is on Utila, in the Bay Islands of Honduras, one of the world's most popular and affordable places to learn to dive. Courses are typically sold as dive-and-stay packages that bundle PADI training with dorm or private-room accommodation at the center. Programs range from one-day Discover Scuba Diving experiences and the 5-day Open Water Diver course (which includes 2 free fun dives with PADI eLearning at no extra cost) through Advanced Open Water (5 Adventure Dives covering Deep, Navigation, Wreck, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Night diving) and Rescue Diver, plus specialty courses such as Enriched Air Nitrox, Deep Diver (to 40m), Wreck Diver (exploring Utila's own Halliburton wreck) and Night Diver. Emergency First Response training is available for those needing a current CPR/first-aid qualification before Rescue or Divemaster training. The center's own Divemaster program runs as a 2-4 week or 4-12 week internship with a dedicated mentor, PADI crew pack, cost-price specialties and free fun diving included, and group packages are available for parties of 10 or more.
