Alghais Diving is a PADI 5-Star Instructor Development Center (IDC) based in Qatar, with its main branch at the Ritz Carlton Marina and a second Try Dive location at the Banana Island Doha resort by Anantara. The center describes itself as the biggest, most active scuba diving community in Qatar and offers the full range of PADI courses, from an introductory Try Dive through Open Water and Advanced levels to professional, technical and freediving courses. It also runs dive trips in Qatar, including boat trips to sites such as the MO Wreck and Pericles Wreck, plus trips abroad. The center is named after "Alghais", the traditional name for a pearl diver during the Gulf countries' pearling period.
