Tatawa (Dive Komodo)
Tatawa is a purpose-built dive liveaboard, named after one of the islands inside Komodo National Park, operated by Dive Komodo, a PADI 5-Star Dive Center based in Labuan Bajo. She takes a maximum of 8 guests across 5 fan-cooled cabins (2 double, 2 single, 1 twin) sharing bathroom facilities, with an air-conditioned indoor lounge/dining area, a foredeck and an upper sun deck. Multi-day safaris run 2 to 5+ nights (with 3D2N, 4D3N, 5D4N and 6D5N packages published), reaching north, central and southern Komodo dive sites such as Batu Bolong, Castle Rock, Crystal Rock and Manta Alley for manta rays, reef sharks, turtles, Napoleon wrasse and dense coral gardens. Advanced Open Water certification (or completion of the Deep Adventure Dive) is recommended given the strong currents and drift diving typical of the area; two dive guides work aboard so groups can be split by experience level. Private charters and custom itineraries are available on request.
