Spoilsport Liveaboard
Spoilsport is Australia's most awarded liveaboard dive boat, commissioned in 1989 and custom-built for Mike Ball Dive Expeditions out of Cairns. Her twin-hull design maximizes stability on Coral Sea crossings; she measures 30m with a 10.5m beam and carries a dedicated crew of 12 including dive masters, chef and host. Fourteen air-conditioned cabins are serviced daily across four categories -- Premium (queen or double beds, ensuite, ocean view), Standard (twin beds, ensuite, ocean view), Club (twin bunks, ensuite, no view) and Budget (twin bunks, shared bathroom) -- plus a lounge/bar, large sundeck, and a spacious dive deck with three camera tables, rinse tanks and two RIBs. Expeditions run standard and special itineraries to the Coral Sea, Cod Hole, Ribbon Reefs and Osprey Reef, including Minke whale season trips.
