SMY Ondina (Cruising Indonesia)

SMY Ondina is a 32-metre, two-mast wooden phinisi schooner built in 2001 by Bugis shipwrights in Sulawesi and refurbished in 2019 and again in 2025, operated by Cruising Indonesia and diving the Indonesian archipelago since the early 2000s. She carries up to 16 guests in 8 air-conditioned, ensuite double cabins — two forward standard cabins with twin bunk beds, and six superior cabins with a double bed plus an optional single bunk above for a third berth — plus an air-conditioned dining room, a large upper deck/solarium, and an onboard dive center with two Bauer compressors, a Nitrox membrane system and rental gear. Regular itineraries of 12 to 16 nights cover Raja Ampat (year-round), the Banda Sea (October/May), Triton Bay (November), Derawan and Halmahera (April/May), and Cenderawasih Bay for whale-shark and wreck (Biak) diving once or twice a year; the boat has logged more than 300,000 nautical miles across the archipelago. Full private charters are also offered, with no fixed duration.
