Pawara Liveaboard
MV Pawara is a custom-built, steel-hulled liveaboard diving boat operated by West Coast Divers, one of Phuket's longest-established dive operators. The 35-metre vessel (beam 7 m, draft 3.2 m, GRT 190 tons) was refitted in 2023 with upgraded stabilisers and an improved keel for smoother crossings of the Andaman Sea, and carries up to 26 guests in 13 air-conditioned cabins across four categories: Master (2 cabins, en-suite, sea view, main deck), Deluxe (4 cabins, bunk beds), Standard (4 cabins, lower deck) and Budget (3 cabins). All cabins have en-suite bathrooms, air-con, safe box, bedding, towels and life jackets.
Trips run 4 days / 4 nights, departing from Tablamu Pier in Khao Lak with free transfers from Phuket and nearby areas. The classic itinerary covers the Similan Islands, Koh Tachai, Richelieu Rock and Koh Bon, taking in granite boulder reefs, drift dives, whale shark and manta ray encounters, and vibrant soft coral gardens.
Onboard, guests find a spacious dive deck, indoor lounge and dining area, flat-screen TV and WiFi in selected areas, Nitrox availability for certified divers, and Thai-style interior design. West Coast Divers has operated Similan Islands liveaboard trips from Phuket for over 30 years.
