Jaya (Scuba Republic)
Jaya is a 23m traditional Phinisi schooner built in 1999, run by Scuba Republic, carrying up to 14 guests in 7 cabins (4 twins with two shared bathrooms, 3 doubles with en-suite bathrooms), each air-conditioned with power sockets, plus a sun deck, dive deck and shaded upper deck lounge. Trips depart from Waisai and explore the Dampier Strait - Kri, Arborek, the Fam Islands and Aljui Bay - hitting sites like Blue Magic, Cape Kri, Melissa's Garden and Citrus Ridge, with 7D/6N (19 dives) and 9D/8N (22 dives, including Misool) itineraries. Dive groups are kept to a 4:1 ratio with an experienced guide, and the region is renowned for near-75% of the world's hard coral species, over 1,400 reef fish species and regular manta ray sightings during the Northwest Monsoon season.
