Dune is an international dive-safari operator running liveaboards across the Red Sea, Indonesia and the Maldives under the motto "More than a dive." In the Maldives the company operates two vessels departing from Malé: DUNE Theia and DUNE Black Manta.
DUNE Theia is a quiet, luxurious and spacious yacht offering 10 air-conditioned en-suite cabins for up to 20 divers, with 20 crew on board. Accommodation spans Standard cabins on the main, lower and upper decks plus Sea View cabins on the upper deck, complemented by a salon and bar, restaurant, sun deck and a dedicated diving dhoni. DUNE Black Manta, built in the Maldives, is a newer liveaboard accommodating up to 28 guests with 20 crew, featuring a jacuzzi, indoor lounge, massage room, sea-view and single cabins, and free nitrox for certified divers.
Both boats cruise the central atolls on the classic "Best of Maldives" itineraries, taking divers from the northern to the southern atolls to encounter whale sharks, manta rays, reef and grey sharks, giant turtles and dense schools of tropical fish. Expert dive guides and crew look after safety and enjoyment throughout, while chefs prepare varied international menus using fresh local ingredients. Dune's Maldives trips are typically 7 nights, with no credit-card or booking fees and marine-park fees included.
