Deep Andaman Queen

The MV Deep Andaman Queen is a Thailand-based liveaboard offering some of the best diving in the Andaman Sea. With 20 years of experience and a full refit in 2019, she explores the Similan Islands, Surin Islands, Richelieu Rock, Koh Bon and Koh Tachai, the Southern Andaman Sea and Koh Lipe, plus Hin Daeng and Hin Muang – and is one of the few vessels to also run trips to Myanmar's Mergui Archipelago, letting you dive Thailand and Burma on the same voyage. The steel vessel is 30.5 m long with a 7 m beam, powered by two 420 HP engines, and accommodates a maximum of 23 guests across 10 cabins with 11 bathrooms. Cabin types range from Standard Quad, Triple and Twin cabins on the lower deck to Deluxe Twin and Deluxe Double ocean-front cabins on the main deck, plus two spacious Master Ocean Front cabins with a king-size bed, TV and minibar. Every cabin is air-conditioned with 24-hour 220V power, a private en-suite bathroom, reading lights, charging sockets, hair dryer and complimentary towels. On board, guests relax in a comfortable air-conditioned saloon with a large sun deck above. The two-level dive platform is spacious, with a large entry/exit area, two exit ladders, two freshwater showers and dedicated rinse tanks for cameras, computers and torches. The professional, long-serving crew is well known for thorough dive briefings, attentive service and excellent freshly prepared food. Trips range from 3 nights upward, with itineraries planned for all experience levels and up to four dives a day. In addition to fun diving, the team offers recreational and professional courses including Advanced Open Water, Enriched Air Nitrox, Deep Diver and Divemaster. Liveaboards depart from Tap Lamu pier in Khao Lak (between Phuket and the Myanmar border) and Pakbara pier near Koh Lipe, with complimentary pick-up from Phuket and Khao Lak hotels or the airport. Published per-person rates start from 29,400 THB for a 4-day/3-night Similan trip in a Standard Quad cabin.
