Dancing WindDancing Wind

The Dancing Wind is a 45-metre (148-foot) traditional phinisi built in 2018, sailing out of Makassar to Raja Ampat, Komodo, Triton Bay, the Banda Sea, Ambon, Sulawesi and Halmahera. She carries up to 20 guests in 8 cabins: two Main Deck doubles and six Lower Deck twins, four of which can take a third guest on an extra bed, each with air conditioning and an en-suite bathroom with hot water. Onboard facilities include a lounge, dining room, sun deck and a dedicated camera room, with a diver-to-guide ratio of 4 to 1, Nitrox and support for technical divers. Five meals a day blend Indonesian, European and Japanese cooking, with soft drinks, water, tea and coffee included. The crew runs a strict no-touch, no-take policy and gives onboard talks on the marine life guests encounter. 2026 published per-person rates start at USD 900 a night for a Lower Deck twin cabin and USD 950 a night for a Main Deck double (2027: USD 950/1000, 2028: USD 1000/1050), minimum 8 guests to confirm a scheduled trip. Full-boat charters run from USD 12,000 a night for 16 guests, minimum 7 nights, and half-charters from USD 8,000 a night for 8 guests. Rates include airport and hotel transfers, meals, soft drinks and 1 to 3 dives a day plus one night dive; national park fees, port fees, Nitrox, rental gear and a fuel surcharge are extra. Current sailing dates and availability are on the operator's own booking page.
