Conscious Breath Adventures (Silver Bank)
Conscious Breath Adventures runs in-water encounters with humpback whales on the Silver Bank, the largest breeding ground for North Atlantic humpbacks, where an estimated 3,000-5,000 whales gather seasonally. Trips depart from Cofresi, Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic aboard the mothership Sea Hunter 2, with guests transferred to the water in smaller whale boats ("Pec Fluke") using careful, low-impact approach techniques refined over nearly twenty years. The Silver Bank sanctuary permits only three liveaboard vessels total, making encounters exclusive and low-impact on the whales. No scuba certification is required, only comfort in the water; guests may observe nursing calves, courtship displays and hear whale song.
