Ambai Liveaboard

MV Ambai is a custom-built dive liveaboard operated by Wallacea Dive Cruise, in service since July 2012. Built traditionally from ironwood and other tropical hardwoods, she is 32 metres long with an 8-metre beam and cruises at 8 knots. Ambai offers 8 boutique double cabins, each with individually controlled air conditioning and an ensuite hot-water bathroom, and carries up to 16 guests looked after by a crew of 18. The main deck has an air-conditioned restaurant used for dive briefings and photo/video presentations, an inside lounge, and large shaded outdoor lounge areas plus a sundeck; a dedicated camera room and a rear dive deck serving three tender boats round out the dive facilities. Ambai cruises Indonesia's Raja Ampat and Halmahera regions out of Sorong and Ternate, with towels and toiletries provided.
