The whole site is inhabited by anemones and clownfish. In the northern part of the reef, you can also observe various pelagic fish - tuna, caruncle, barracuda, as well as large concentrations of snapper, unicorn fish and fish surgeons. The Dedalus reef was formed by ancient colonies of hard corals, which formed steep walls, passing a hundred meters into a wide plateau. All around is covered with riotous coral thickets. The northern part of the reef is covered with ledges, arches and canopies, now and again the entrances to the caves are gaping. Given the location of the reef, its size and remoteness from the shoreline, as well as strong currents, which carry a huge amount of food for large fish, the Dedalus reef abounds in living creatures. And the more animals - the more predators! That is why the Dedalus reef is a first-class place to meet with various sharks and large fish of the Red Sea. Fortunately, that around the reef there is a lot of food for them, and divers do not enter their food chain, which allows them to contemplate predators in a natural environment. "Island-neighbors" Rocky and Zabargad Islands - these islands are located to the southeast of Ras Banas. The walls of Rocky are covered with magnificent coral gardens, young sharks often doze under huge ledges. Manta rays, hammerhead sharks, gray reef sharks sometimes visit this reef. The amazing and unsurpassed beauty of the island of Zabargad in ancient times was the place of extraction of precious stones. In its southern part, lush coral gardens have grown. Here we can meet napoleon fish, colorful flocks of karanxes and fast-moving tuna, and, if lucky, even bigger fish. In the north-eastern part of the island, you can dive on a wreck - a ship sunk in shallow water. One of our goals will be the search for tiger sharks, whose family has recently inhabited the islands of Rocky and Zabargad. At a distance of about 40 km to the north of the Sudan-Egyptian border and 20 km to the south-east of the island of Zabargad, the reefs of St. John's Reefs rise from the seabed . They represent a variety of individual seamounts and shallow reefs, coral atolls collected on an area of ​​about 14 square kilometers. The variety of dive sites on the reefs of St. John's is huge - from vertical walls with a strong current to the shallow coral gardens, which, in turn, is reflected in the incredible diversity of the inhabitants of the reefs.
