The SSI Open Water Diver is probably the most famous dive level in the world and is an essential step to start your life as a diver. This level is recognized around the world and allows you to dive anywhere, alone with your buddy or accompanied by a dive guide. For your comfort and safety , French Kiss Divers provides training in small groups of 4 students per instructor and no more. A dive computer will be also provided and you will be trained to use it. Training: It consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part: The theoretical part is divided into three half days accompanied by a video viewing as well as a training book. You’ll learn everything you must know about diving with your instructor. The physics and physiology of diving, the dangers of the sport: how to avoid them and how to fix them, diving equipment and many other things. The practical part: The practical part takes place over 5 to 6 dives. We will practice all the elementary dive exercises and exploration. You will learn the dive buddy system, safety procedures, dive planning and much more. These exercises are carried out first in ideal conditions either pool or in shallow water with similar conditions to the pool . Once the training is complete, you’ll obtain your diving card and it will be up to you to discover the underwater world! You will have the opportunity to make exploration dives with a student discount or continue onto the Advanced Adventurer Level 2 SSI or CMAS courses!
