The PADI rescue course consists of both knowledge development, confined water practice and open water scenarios. Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. During the five open water sessions you will cover: Self-rescue and diver stress; AED and emergency oxygen delivery systems; dive first aid; swimming and non-swimming rescue techniques; emergency management and equipment; panicked diver response; underwater problems; missing diver procedures; surfacing an unconscious diver; in-water rescue breathing protocols; egress (exits); first aid procedures for pressure related accidents; and dive accident scenarios What do I need to start? You must be a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or a equivalent certification by another organisation) to participate in the full Rescue Diver program. If you are a PADI Open Water Diver (or a equivalent certification by another organisation) you can participate in the Rescue Diver knowledge development and rescue training sessions in confined water only. Minimum age: 15 years old (12 years old for the PADI Junior Rescue Diver) You must have completed a recognised CPR training course like the Emergency First Response course within the last 24 months.
